Oh. crap. I though I've found the best workaround for signing emails sent by my mailing list server. Looks like I'm back to square one.
What is the best way then to sign outgoing email on a list server when:
- domain name is shared with regular users (eg. "a-mailing-list_at_patpro.net" and "some-user_at_patpro.net")
- mailing list keeps subscriber's email address as From:
- subscribers have their own mail provider (gmail, hotmail…)
According to
http://www.opendkim.org/opendkim-README, paragraph "MAILING LISTS" I'm good with (1) and (2): got a key, sign the whole domain patpro.net. But obviously I can't sign an email on behalf of a subscriber (eg. "From: user_at_gmail.com").
