You can use libopendkim to make any application DKIM-aware. You don't
need to use the filter. The filter just provides a comprehensive
interface between milter-aware MTAs and libopendkim.

That work hasn't been scheduled yet. It'll be assigned to either 2.7.0 or
2.8.0 by the end of this month.
