It looks like EPEL doesn't distribute the debug packages (which would
include the unstripped libs) so there is no way for him to get that
gdb optimized output without doing one of the two:
1. Manually build and install, but don't strip the binaries/libs.
2. Install the srpm, reconfigure the spec file to not strip or to
build debug packages, rebuild it, and then reinstall using those new
packages.

Each approach has its issues. These are Steve's RPMs, so at least that is good.
