one advantage of postfix is the excelent documentation.
Everything, postfix does, *is* documented. If it's documented,
it works. If it's not documented, it's unimplemented.
So

Any milter can be used a smtp milter as well as nonsmtp milter.
Postfix simply emulates the unavailable information.
