Signing mail from mutiple smtp servers

My mail could be sent either from yahoo smtp server or my personal
server. When a destination server receives dkim signed email,
assuming it could do dkim verification, does it dkim verify based on
individual mail host the mail is coming from or based on from email's
domain ( ie.. user_at_emaildomain.com where email's domain is
emaildomain.com as opposed to smtp host
mx01.anotheremaildomain.com).
