Hi,

if possible set relay_host to 127.0.0.1:1 (assume, nothing listen on port 1)
and set soft_bounce=yes. Submit your mail and look into the queue where the message still stay.
postcat -q <queueid>

compare the headers of the queuefile with your input.
Maybe that helps.
