OpenDKIM 2.8.0 beta cycle starting

The first beta release of OpenDKIM 2.8.0 is now available for download.
For a full change list, please download the package and check the
RELEASE_NOTES file. The highlights are:

o Support for sending notifications via SMTP.

o Suppression of LDAP caching via configuration.

o Per-message selection of header fields to sign.

o Algorithm improvements with _FFR_REPRRD, matching some of the logic of
the predictive inference reputation system.

o More flexibility over use of the SigningTable via Lua.

o Improve compatibility with MTA configurations with respect to local IP
addresses.

o Fix crashes related to OpenLDAP and OpenSSL concurrent use.

As usual, this will be the only announcement made to this list until the
release occurs. If you want to take part in the beta period, which
includes testing and making bug reports, and getting notifications about
new beta releases, please subscribe to the opendkim-dev list. Also as
usual, pleae use that list for bug reports about the beta releases; do not
use the SourceForge trackers.
