Please use "postconf -n" to output the configuration. It shows what Postfix
really uses and not what you _might_ have mistyped. ;)
Also set the smtpd process in /etc/postfix/master.cf into verbose mode. Add
"-v" at the end of the line that configures a smtp service calling the command
smtpd.
