I see that the version of milter you're using is the latest, so that's
not the issue.

I found this while googling:
The remedy is to lower the Postfix milter_protocol version number.
Postfix 2.8 and later will automatically turn off protocol features
that the application's libmilter library does not expect.
...so which version of postfix?

Is the opendkim daemon actually running?
