Betas for OpenDKIM v2.1.0 starting soon

I'm planning to begin the beta cycle for v2.1.0 next Wednesday (May 19th) for about two weeks. There will be one post on this list (opendkim-users) to announce availability of the first beta, but after that all beta-related activity should take place on opendkim-dev.

So anyone on opendkim-users that wants to participate in the betas should also subscribe to opendkim-dev. We normally use the latter list for architectural discussions and other high-detail standards-related and developer-related issues, but beta participants might find that chatter interesting anyway.

The current RELEASE_NOTES for 2.1.0 says:

2.1.0 2010/??/??
Feature request #SF2964388: Add a "lua" dataset type.
Remove several command line options that are redundant to the
configuration file and not useful in test mode. These
                include: -a, -C, -h, -i, -I, -m, -M, -P, -R and -U.
        Add support for draft-kucherawy-authres-header-b.
LIBOPENDKIM: Add dkim_get_sigsubstring(), required for "header.b"
                production on Authentication-Results: header fields.
TOOLS: Feature request #SF2964364: Have opendkim-genzone use
the KeyTable if defined in a provided configuration file.

We also have three feature additions that are out for internal code review that will (hopefully) be merged in prior to the betas:

- Internal LDAP query caching

- Overhauled and improved operational statistics gathering (more detail on this coming soon)

- Enhancements to our "re-sign" feature set
