We've discovered that bugs submitted to the trackers on SourceForge using
a login from OpenID or any login system other than SourceForge's own
system produces bug reports to which we cannot reply (we can comment on
the bug, but the replies never go out) and we also can't send a message to
the reporter directly using the UI either. Therefore, we can't ask
directly for more information, and the reported issue will remain
unresolved.
I've added this note to our bug submission page:
"***PLEASE NOTE*** that submitting bugs using any login ID other than one
within SourceForge's own system will mean we cannot contact you to get
more information in order to address your problem. You should register for
a SourceForge account instead, or check your bug report frequently in case
we need more data from you. Bugs we cannot resolve for this reason will be
closed."
If you've reported a bug recently using OpenID or such, please check your
bugs for comments that may need a reply, or email me privately with your
contact information so we can interact with you to address your issue.
