I poked some fprintf into the code and dkimf_check_conditional()
(opendkim/opendkim.c, line 10781)
lookup "sender.domain:destination.domain"

The "x" is simply a lookup result. The value does not matter.
Could be also empty, "foo" or "generate_a_conditional_signature_here"
