Does 2.8.3 source check for LIBMEMCACHED ?

I'm trying to do a mock build against Rawhide (currently Fedora 20) and am
getting the following:

checking for LIBMEMCACHED... no

I don't have any reference to libmemcached in the spec file.Does the 2.8.3
source reference or require libmemcached? If so, I'm going to have to use a
patch to remove it to get it to compile. :(
