I build 2.8.1.beta0 for debian squeeze, sles[9|10|11] and opensuse_factory. ( as usual ... )
there where no compiling problem because of the db version.

but I found an other issue:
sles 11 uses rrd version 1.3.4. There is no function 'rrd_lastupdate_r' so the FFR_REPRRD is not usable here.
But this is not release critical for me. I just could not use FFR_REPRRD in my environment with *real* traffic.

Btw.
anybody claiming "Debian use old software" should really compare with SLES :-(
