The patch fixes the assertion at line 312, because the variable it's checking is now forced to something rather than being effectively random.

I didn't notice that the previous assertion was at 291, which checks a different function, and I'm a little confused about how Hirohisa's patch would fix that.

In any case, does Beta14 run cleanly for both of you?
